"Aortic Valve Replacement!"

It was just over seven years ago I had my aortic valve replaced at the age of 57 years! This was the first time I was going to have a major open heart operation and I felt so scared and frightened that I didn't want to die thinking it might go wrong! But I came through it and St Georges Hospital gave me the ultimate care from the moment I arrived at the hospital to being discharged! The Atkinson Morley Wing staff were absolutely incredible and totally professional and I will never ever stop thinking and thanking them how they helped me through a very traumatic time in my life! I cannot reiterate how wonderful this hospital is in helping all people of all ages and colour get ting through such difficult and dark times when you least expect it!
