"Ridiculous"

My partner got given an out of hours appointment, We were Given a slot time and when arriving there was 6 people before us in the waiting room who had been waiting since 8pm and still waiting to be seen after 3 hours. They all Seemed to be very Irritable and there was several children crying as had been waiting so long. There was one little old lady who started to cry as she was tired, irritable and sick of waiting, there was another child was running around with a skin infection touching everything. From what we could see there was one member of staff on this ward and in between patients there was a half hour wait, many of these patients were complaining at reception. Very dysfunctional.
