"Day Surgery Unit was fantastic in every way"

I entered the unit at midday for a hernia operation and didn't know what to expect as I'd not had an operation before. The Day Unit team were extremely polite, helpful and comforting and put me an ease every steep of the way. I felt like I was receiving treatment as an individual which was great. The hospital was immaculately clean as well. I was offered all types of coffee and tea after recovery. The doctors explained everything very clearly and again were not dismissive in any way. It was an experience I wasn't expecting based on the crap you hear in the news - it was a thoroughly attentive and pleasant experience and I felt at ease and that my health was the team's control concern. I can't praise this team enough!
