"Haematology Day Unit"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Clinical haematology

(as a relative),

I attended the day unit with my brother. All the staff were welcoming, friendly and caring. Everyone receptionist, domestic, clinical support, Nurses and Doctors demonstrated a caring approach. The atmosphere was that they were there for us and that nothing was too much bother. Nurses chatted to fellow patients, asking about their lives and families, the receptionist make sure everyone waiting was ok, we were offered tea and coffee, their were comfortable seats and papers to read. Little details which showed that staff really cared about the patient experience. A totally person centred service from start to finish,

Thanks to all

Dear hkm

Thank you for getting in touch.

I am delighted that you found all the staff welcoming, friendly and caring. I agree that it is the little details that can make a big difference.

I will share your post with the staff in the Unit and I am sure they will appreciate your kind words.

Please pass on my best wishes to your brother.

Kind Regards

Elaine Burt
