"Polyp Removal"

About: Royal Blackburn Hospital

Attended yesterday for removal of a polyp by EMR. Both the staff and consultant put me at ease and explained the process and answered any questions I had. Although it was a longer than normal procedure the staff in theatre were at pains to keep me calm and keep me informed of the procedure throughout. The staff in recovery were also equally attentive.

I've had colonoscopies at other hospitals but this was by far the best organised and patient-centred I have experienced. Thank you to everyone.
