It is impossible to get an appointment with a SPECIFIC doctor at this surgery, I have tried numerous times to get an appointment over the last 6 months or more with a doctor . Each time i have been told to phone in 2 weeks to book a phone appointment which will be possibly up to 2 weeks after that. Once i did manage to get a call back but unfortunately it was not at the time arranged and i was on public transport so i could not discuss what i needed, and there weren't any appointments that could be booked. Sadly it takes a lot for me to build up the courage to try again. That really is not acceptable, especially when you are taking medication you are not happy with, sadly i have had to renew my prescription and continue with the medication as i could not risk stopping the course .Also recently, i have needed a medical certificate renewed ( that also had been issued over the phone. i did not see a doctor as no appointments were available) As i had not received an appointment needed at the hospital i was told it would take 3 working days to renew ( i had never been made aware of that, despite numerous chances for the surgery to do so.) furthermore i had not had the hospital appointment due to the fact my referral had not been received. i do not think this surgery is aware how upsetting this is for their patients when the receptionists really offer nothing as they are unable to book anything.

There are a number of issues you raise which are not as they should be and I need to address this internally.

It would be very helpful if you could make contact with one of the practice managers so that we can help you sort everything out, and importantly ensure that we put training in place to avoid mistakes happening again.

If this is something you feel you can do please ring in and ask to speak to a manager.
