About: Rotherham Hospital / Breast surgery

As an NHS employee, I totally understand and appreciate how busy all staff are, however I would just like to inform you of my recent experience in the above department .

Recently I had my routine mammogram and wanted to say how impressed I was with the care I received from the admin team and also the mammografher.

Unfortunately I am unable to say the same about the length of time I am having to wait for my results.

As I'm sure you can appreciate it is a very anxious time waiting for results of any kind but personally feel that waiting two weeks plus for a result isn't very good.

It is now now 11 days since I was screened and upon phoning the department today have been informed that the scans from that date have not even been looked at yet and that a doctor would possibly be looking at them over the weekend.

I find this waiting really stressful and look forward to your comments as to why it takes so long.
