From the moment I walked into the front doors of this amazing hospital for my initial consultation, I felt at ease.

There is a lot of information scattered around about the type of treatment undertaken at the hospital and all of the staff are so very friendly.

You feel reassured.

The consultant was first class in every way; his politeness and manners were exemplary.

The consultation was concise and the treatment explained without any confusing medical terminology; I fully understood what treatment was required.

An appointment was made there and then for my operation and home I went.

Just a few weeks later I was admitted and whilst I was a little apprehensive, I need not have been.

I was put at ease from the outset by all involved.

Nurses, anaesthetist, and finally the consultant and surgeon.

I stayed in overnight and was treated with the upmost respect at all times; the nurses were a delight, their care was over and above that which I could have hoped for.

I had my own room and bathroom which made a huge difference to my stay.

Finally, I was visited in my room by the consultant and a physiotherapist before being sent home to recover and they was superb, helping me understand what I should and shouldn't do.

I was even given a lovely piece of chocolate cake before leaving.. This was brought in by the consultant..!

The operation was a success; the scarring was minimal, very clean and tidy and I feel exceptionally lucky and privileged to have been referred to this amazing hospital.

A delight in the adversity of illness.

Eight weeks later I returned to see the consultant and all went well. I wanted to thank everyone for what they had done for me.
