"Sadly know where to go and no help or support..."

About: Bay Medical Group

I've had ongoing medical issues for over 3 months. The first month, I tried to self-medicate as I know what it’s like to get past the 'Highly trained secretaries' that always know what you need and always fail to listen to you.

Initially, I had issues with my extremities (Some fingers and toes) cracking, bleeding and nails virtually falling off or catching on socks every time you put them on. I self-medicated with anti-fungal cream. It was only when I had a medical at work and was told my blood sugars were extremely high that I was informed I needed to see a doctor ASAP.

At this point, I called the Doctors and explained to the Secretaries of my blood sugars and issues with my extremities, she made me an appointment to go to the same day Surgery.

Upon seeing a doctor I was given antibiotics for the infection in my fingers and toes but she was unable to assist with the High Blood Sugars and stated that this needs to be resolved at my doctors (Not same day surgery).

Disappointed I went back to the surgery to get sorted out and was basically dismissed by the receptionist. I had to basically argue with them in order for them to do anything and get an appointment later that week. (Another 1/2 day off work because the secretary failed to listen)

4 weeks later, I had to call the doctors again as the infection in my extremities had not cleared up and things were getting worse – by now I was getting back pains and had been passing blood in my urine.

My wife made the appointment on my behalf however, when making the appointment my wife insisted on me seeing a doctor at the surgery.

The secretary made an appointment and named the person I was to see, my wife asked if it was a doctor the secretary was stand offish in answering but eventually after insistence from my wife stated YES it was a doctor.....

Upon arrival, it was a Nurse who refused to treat 2 issues in one appointment. He would only treat the water infection and dismissed my infected extremities telling me to buy more medication from the chemist for it... If I wished for my extremities to be looked at I need to book yet another appointment.

I have self-medicated again for over 10 days and am still bleeding from my fingertips every time I catch them.

I called the surgery again on Monday 17th Sept and requested to speak to the complaints manager, to be informed he was off and not returning until Thursday 20th however, there is a lady standing in for him.

She was not available at the time but the Secretary would email her asking her to call me ASAP.

2 days later I still wait.

Sadly there are no other doctors within the area that people can registrar to as this practice has merged with every one of them....

WHAT DO I DO TO GET SOME HELP AND SUPPORT...
