"Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit"

My wife and I had been going through IVF treatment in Leeds and unfortunately this ended in a missed miscarriage. We asked if my could be seen at Airedale to avoid the long journey to Leeds. Airedale EPAU saw us next day and the nurse we spoke to was wonderful, really friendly and explained the options very clearly, including risks and benefits, with no pressure at all to make a particular decision. She left us some time to discuss and make a decision. My wife opted for surgical management and this was booked in the next morning. All the paper work and the process was explained very clearly by the nurse and the doctor who completed the consent paperwork. On the day itself we saw the same nurse and again the care was outstanding, from all the staff we saw, exactly what we needed at what was obviously a sad time (and the procedure went without a hitch).

Airedale EPAU did the NHS proud. Well done.
