"My sons first need for medical attention"

About: Nantwich Health Centre

It was my first ever experience of needing to see a doctor for my 10 month old son. He’s had all his reviews and checks but this was the first time it was an ‘emergency’

He had a rash that had appeared extremely quickly and was causing him great discomfort, I rang and spoke to the receptionist who took the information and my number and promised to call back soon, within 10 minuets I had a phone call to tell me to bring him straight into the practice.

It was ‘closing time’ but no one seemed to mind staying and seeing to my son.

The Dr gave him a full check, ears eyes nose temperature and swobs of his rash were taken.

Antibiotics were percribed and he informed me of the pharmacy that would be open due to the time being 6pm and most chemists being closed.

He electronically sent the perception to the pharmacy and it was ready for me to collect as soon I as arrived there.

I feel like a stressful and worrying situation (as a mother I think we always think the worst) was actually a totally calm and informative situation instead.

My son appears dramatically better already and in a lot less discomfort.

Thank you to the Receptionist (who I’m sorry I didn’t catch her name) and to the Dr
