This is the first time in my life writing a negative review but I honestly feel so upset.

id like to say firstly all doctors I have seen have been fantastic - I cannot fault them.

The issue - as always - are the reception staff, I work on reception myself for work and I understand that it can be stressful etc however the way they speak to people is horrendous - I would be fired if I spoke to people the way they do.

Earlier this year I was suffering from sever post natal depression - it took a huge amount for me to call to ask for an appointment, at this time I was suicidal and had extreme anxiety. I called on 4 different occasions and was spoken to so rudely that I ended up apologising TO THEM and ending the call leading to me not actually getting a doctors appointment until my husband called for me, they were also incredibly rude to him however he was in a better state of mind to handle the m... I dread to think how mentally ill patients must feel when they have to call. I was left in tears every time.

Moving on until now, I have avoided the doctors like the plague, even missing a cervical scan as I have so much anxiety over calling, however unfortunately I have became very unwell and needed to call - I have just finished a phone call from a extremely rude receptionist who repeated said ''What? what? sigh sigh, what do you need to see the doctor for? Why is it so important? well were full today anyway so it doesn't matter''

In the rudest most aggressive tone.

I know this is not just me because when I have been into surgery before I have witnessed receptionists speak to patients like dirt to their face never the less. Its crazy!

You must see from countless complaints that this is a GENUINE issue and the doctors is the one place that people need a kind ear, most patients that are calling are worried or ill - the last thing they need is someone being rude and brash and unhelpful on the other end!

Please please please for the sake of everyone just ask your receptionists to speak to people like human beings.

As I said, this is the first negative review I have ever left anywhere because I am ALWAYS polite and suffer from anxiety so if anything - shy and nervous because I always feel bad asking for help, however I cannot ignore this anymore because I am at the point where I feel physically sick when a receptionist answers the phone. Its awful
