"The Practice has Changed"

There are some excellent doctors and nurses in this Practice and the admin Staff are helpful. There is a nice atmosphere when one visits either Cuckfield or The Vale Surgeries.

It is not totally the fault of this Practice that it has become difficult to get an appointment earlier than 3 weeks with a doctor who knows the patient. Computers contain records but they do not know and understand patients. When one is ill, one is ill. It is not usually planned in advance. It is the result of the extensive housing developments in Haywards Heath which have occurred in the area which have affected the number of patient attending here. It would be helpful, however, if more doctors were prepared to work a 4-5 day week, as the rest of us have done in our various walks of life. By so doing, patients would feel less stressed and more cared about. Yes, there is more paperwork for doctors but many of us in other professions have undertaken paperwork, burning the midnight oil daily in our careers.
