At 95 years of age I was delighted when hip surgery was confirmed and although I was athletic all my life, at this age there was a degree of fear and trepidation, and I was almost ready to accept my disability of only having one operating leg available to me !!
However, my experience - including rehab unfortunately due to post-operative delirium - which occurs I am told as a matter of course unfortunately in some cases, but I have been extremely touched by the care and consideration and expertise and I could not thank the entire staff caring for me enough, because I was really touched by the depth of care offered to me.
I want to express my deepest appreciation and also confirm to you how successful the NHS truly is.
Many, many thanks for giving me back my enjoyment for life. What could be better.
