"A hernia operation."

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Day Surgery

(as the patient),

As I enjoy running/jogging mostly parkrun, and the odd 10k or half maratho, I was a bit concerned as I had a hernia in the groin area, which would expand while running. As I was male and 73 years old I consulted my doctor, he contacted Queen Margaret Hospital Dunfermline.

They then contacted me and I had a consultation with their Mr Chigaru, he checked my hernia and explained the procedure, but said it was totally my choice. I opted for the operation, He made an appointment for me to see someone who assessed me for the op. While waiting for a letter I received a call as someone else had cancelled, I accepted this chance to have the op, which was a lot sooner than I had expected.

From entering the hospital yesterday I was made to feel at ease by everyone, treated with respect, honestly had no pain, I'm now sitting at home 1day later writing this letter, so many thanks to Queen Margaret Hospital Dunfermline.
