"Care and attention"

About: Borders General Hospital / Acute Assessment Unit

(as the patient),

Mine was a short term "false alarm" admission but the care and attention from everyone involved could not have been more thorough and could not have been bettered.

I didn't find the survey easy to complete and thought afterwards that I had somehow made it refer to a gp practice in Hull or somewhere else in England so I am very happy to put the record straight!

Dear Summer Day

Thank you very much for your very positive feedback and I echo Lynn's apology for the delay in response to this.

The beauty of an assessment unit is that a rapid diagnosis can be made and timely treatment started where necessary. It's great for the patient to be told symptoms have been a false alarm but it's really important to be able to quickly and safely reach that conclusion so that reassurance and advice can be given.

I will share your feedback with the team which they will really value.

Best wishes

Lynne
