I have had a number of tests over the summer and have always been treated with friendly, caring staff from the receptionists to the nurses and the doctors.
I received a letter asking me to telephone the surgery to arrange a telephone conversation with the doctor. As I also work in the public sector, I am not contactable in office hours. The lovely receptionist really tried to sort out a time when I could be called and when this proved to be virtually impossible, she found me an appointment which was in the same week.
I have been seen by two doctors recently, and had blood tests at the surgery. All have been courteous, checked that I understood the tests and explained what the next steps could/would be. I have been able to get appointments quickly and feel I have been listened to and given plenty of time to explain symptoms etc.
Having not been to the surgery for a number of years prior to this, I am extremely impressed by the use of technology at the surgery and the options for getting information about tests, talking to the doctor and the speed in which the information is relayed to me, as a patient.
