My 88 year old father was diagnosed with bladder cancer in January this year. The consultant was positive and upbeat from the outset and scheduled Dad for a quick surgery. He expedited surgery as Dad was admitted as an emergency, he also expedited surgery on the prostate as Dad had catheter problems. He then organised radiotherapy supervised by the clinical oncologist who was also marvellous. The Clinical Oncologists team operating through LA4 made the radiotherapy experience the best it could be. My father has a reasonable clean bill of health at present and we cannot praise the two consultants and their teams more highly.
