After loosing my hearing in my left ear,
I was told and report made that my ear drum was retracted and had retraction pockets, swabs were taken to test the fluid that was leaking , antibiotic drops given .. that made no difference
2nd follow up appointment... was told I was probably born like it and I'd only noticed the deafness as it had caught up with me ... no discussion of the swabs that where taken or the fact my hearing in 7 month's had declined so badley.. it's causing me discomfort and was told the best cause of action was nothing and to live with it ... he also said my ear drum had massive holes in it ... I said surely there must be a cause or is there anything that can be done ... begrudgingly put me on a waiting list for an ear surgeon after telling me there wasn't much point and there would be a very long wait
Wasn't happy at all, and I'm not a complainer
"Awful appointment"
