My son was brought to the Emergency Department (ED) of UHA with a painful foot.
He was seen within 15 minutes by the triage nurse and then in under 15 minutes by the Specialist ED Physiotherapist- Lindsay.
After assessment by the physio Lindsay he was sent for X-ray and within 20 minutes we were back in the ED where she was able to explain that he had fractured his foot.
She gave us specialist advice on how to manage this and organised follow up at the paediatric fracture clinic.
I believe this is a new service having a physio based at UHA ED and I wanted to thank all those involved.
This is a fantastic service and a great idea to have a physio at the centre of front line care. We were so impressed at how efficient and professional the care was.
Thank you to the ED team at UHA
