"DONT SELF DIAGNOSE!"

About: Royal Shrewsbury Hospital / Accident and emergency

Six weeks now since I was stupid enough to fall down a flight of 16 stairs.(not good at 77!) Six weeks since I was also stupid enough to refuse treatment at the time. Especially in light of the fact that I was taking an anti co-agulant. One week passed and shortness of breath signalled something was wrong. The radiographer suggest that because of a chest full of blood, I should be admitted to a&e. There a most dextrous doctor fitted a drain whereafter 4 litres of blood flowed out.

To the Dr, I just want to say how pleased I am to have received your treatment. Subsequent observation at The Royal Stoke has been followed by what I hope will be a steady improvement.

Thank you again the Dr.

Best wishes, Gus Fergusson

Good afternoon,

Thank you for sharing your recent experience with us. I have shared your feedback with the A&E Manager so she is aware and can also share this with the staff who cared for you.

I do hope you are now recovering well.

Kind regards

Patient Experience Team
