Although I agree wholeheartedly with other respondents criticisms of the booking system and appointment availability at the surgery surgery, my own most recent experience has been nothing but excellent. In late April, I had to have an emergency operation for a burst appendix at Wexham Park (again, only praise for the treatment I received there) and I was left with several wounds in my abdomen, one of them very deep. I saw my GP and he referred me to the surgery's nursing staff for ongoing packing and bandaging. They saw me, almost daily until I went to Sweden on 12th June for an extended holiday. During that month-long treatment, the nurses were always professional, conscientious, friendly, supportive and accommodating. I always felt that they had my best interests at heart and nothing was too much trouble. The two nurses who treated me most frequently were both outstanding in all the aspects already mentioned and in their patient feedback.
I will also say that, once one has managed to make an appointment to see a doctor, the service from all practitioners has been very good, although medical practitioner continuity is an ongoing and upsetting problem.
"Excellent nursing care when i needed it"
