We have lived in the area for a long time and in truth our only real experience until recently was 30 years ago in the maternity ward.
Recently my wife had a heavy fall whilst out shopping in Windsor and broke her leg and arm and was admitted via ambulance to the A&E at Wexham Park. Clearly this was all very upsetting but the people we dealt with from the moment she was picked up until the day she left hospital have all been excellent. Clearly the NHS needs more staff and hence more funds but you cannot fault the staff that are there.
The A&E team, the staff in the Christensen ward, the porters, the surgeon, the recover room team, the nurses of ward 1, the catering staff, the cleaners and the physiotherapy team all deserve immense credit.
It would be great if there were more nurses to give more individual attention and they must get very frustrated at times but not once did we witness anything but kindness and sheer dedication.
Wexham Park hasn't always had the best reputation but in was great to see signs of improvements in the current buildings as well as new construction taking place.
Can I also give a special mention to the two Physios, who were both great help before my wife was discharged.
Keep up the good work and thank you.
"Good signs of improvement"
