I had an appointment at Nene Park for 2pm on 13/09/2018 to see a Dr for the results of my latest tests in the respiratory box. My wife received notification calling her in to Leicester Glenfield Hospital at 08.30 for Pre-op on the same day, prior to being admitted on the 16/9/. She was told to expect to be at Pre-op for 4 hours. I rang the number given 01536 493300, to explain the situation, saying that I might be a little late getting back to Nene Park for my appointment. I thought that if I was late the next patient in line would get in a little early, and I was prepared to wait till last if need be. But I was told, in no uncertain terms that the Dr had a very busy list that day and I could not be fitted in, I explained that as I was already on that list surely he could see me sometime during his visit. But no, so I have had to make another appointment which is now 21/2/2019.
It seems gone are the days, when the answer would have been, " thank you for letting us know, I will get somebody to come in a little earlier and we will fit you in somewhere ".
I begin to wish that I hadn't bothered to ring, and just hoped to have got back to Nene Park in time for my appointment.
