"Burn on my son’s leg"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus / Paediatrics

(as a parent/guardian),

I visited the burns unit today at qmc   and I couldn’t be happier with the service and treatment we received, with my son being a 3 years old and doesn’t do very well with pain but the two nurses who helped today made the experience for him brilliant. Any child would be scared going to hospital and just the fear of the unknown but the two amazing ladies we had today made sure he was calm and wasn’t to upset when taking his old badges off, one of the nurses played with him throughout the time we spent there & the second nurse took her time with him and reassured him every step of the way. After we received treatment my little boy was all smiles and giggles, it didn’t seem to phase him that he’s burnt his leg, he was back to happy little cheeky self. I personally couldn’t thank the staff enough for all the help, Very much appreciated: )

Thank you for sharing this lovely feedback. I’m so glad to hear that our nurses helped your son to remain calm and reassured him during his treatment. I’ve shared your kind words with my colleagues in the children’s clinic, who asked me to pass on their appreciation.

Kind regards
