I typically don't write bad reviews but I have to share this one.
So I have been lucky enough to have dealt with NHS only few times in my life and every single time I realized how bad it is.
First, I found the admin personnel I spoke to rude and not compassionate. When I book an appointment, they typically don't even ask why I want to see a doctor. As a result, once I was trying to get my moles checked out and they booked me an appointment (3 weeks later) with a doctor who didn't have the right equipment to check my moles. So I was advised to book another appointment two weeks later. The other doctors said I will need to book an appointment with the hospital 4 weeks later. So in essence I had to wait over two months to check my moles.
Second time, I told them my symptoms and same story. After the GP appointment I have been sent to the dentist, the dentist told my I had potentially a cyst so I had to see a doctor to the hospital. Four months later I have been diagnosed mucocele and finally I got this removed after over 6 months total waiting time.
Third time, blood was found in my urine. The doctor told me to do a series of tests. A week later I have been told that the blood results will need to be discussed with the GP. Again I need to book an appointment (first appointment available 2 weeks later). Knowing at this point what to expect, I told the admin people to share the blood results since I would like to use a private doctor to get them checked and pay. They were really rude and told me the doctor was too busy so I should go there in the afternoon and see if the doctor approved sharing the blood test results. I called later and the administrator was really rude again and told my I should go there in person later. This is still ongoing so I can't tell what's next. All I wanted to know is if I'm fine or if I have something serious!!
In essence, I dealt with NHS only 3 times and I just wanted to share with all of you my awful experience.
Good luck everyone and don't give up!!
