(as the patient),

I was recently in Hairmyres Hospital for an operation to remove my bowel from scar tissue, have repair to hernia and mesh inserted.  The operation was 6 hours long and performed by Mr Mahmood.

I cannot praise Mr Mahmood highly enough.  I know this was a difficult operation to perform and I am aware of the risks, however, I also knew from previous operations that I was in very good hands with this gentleman.

I am extremely grateful to Mr Mahmood for his care and attention and to his Registrars. I am also grateful to the anaethetist, Dr John, Nurse Rhona from High Dependency and all the staff on Ward 6. Great bunch
