I would like to feedback on the cleanliness of ward 31, i spent some time as patient on this ward and the toilets were often in a unsatisfactory state, towels, paper towels and “bottles” left on every surface. The bowl left unfleshed every time I went to use it. There are no anti bacterial wipes available to wipe down the seat before use.
I observed “Bottles” were also left of paitents tables after use, especially on a evening to the point where it had soaked through tough to the table.
Seeing this as patient caused me distress and worry about the threat of infection and cleanliness of the ward and common areas.
I believe a review of procedure is in order to check the toilets and “bottles” more regularly, Especially on a night.
The hospital should also provide wipes/gel in the toilet for cleaning the seat before use as is common place in airports.
"Cleanliness"
