"Inappropriate TV viewing and confidentiality"

Sat in the waiting area of A &E.

TV was on. The channel showed naked dating. Don't know what called but showed naked men and women. In the waiting area were a 7 year old girl and a young boy no older I guess than 10. Men were the majority waiting. On going into triage I told the nurse who wasn't bothered and laughed it off. I was made to feel uncomfortable and disgusted.

On going into the department no curtains were used to help with privacy. I had a very horrendious cut and people could see this. I also witnessed a hca taking the micky out of a patients name. Trolleies where filthy and showed not being cleaned between patients. This patient was very poorly and just lay on the bed. The staff didn't have the correct sized dressing and had to use larger and cut down. This to me was such a waste. Consultant didn't introduce his name to me either.

I had to go ton this hospital but if an alternative was available I would go somewhere else.
