"Complete shambles"

About: Worthing Hospital / General surgery

My daughter has been in hospital since Monday, she was under investigation to find the reasons why she was retaining urine, feeling sick, feeling full up, bloated and gagging.

She was having a scan on Tuesday so had to be nil by mouth, from the evening before up until 4pm on the Tuesday only to b3 told they’ve had to cancel the scan because of lack of porters because of hospital cuts.

Today again she was put on nil by mouth, ready for an endoscopy she was terrified to have it done but knew she had to have it done, she was on her way there when she was told it had been cancelled, she was overwhelmed, upset, some relief because she didn’t have to have it done only to be told 10 minutes later they changed their mind again! What is going on here! Is there no one in control, it’s not our fault the NHS is struggling financial, we’ve all paid in with our working careers. If this country stops allowing people to abuse our system the cuts wouldn’t have been so dramatic that patients are suffering at the hands of the NHS
