"Facial Cancer"

About: Princess Alexandra Hospital (Harlow)

I attended Princess Alexandra hospital at the end of July to have a facial cancer removed\

under local anaesthetic

I met the surgeon just prior to the operation and he explained fully what was involved.

Although not a youngster any more I was still worried about how I would look after the operation.

I could not have had better care from both the nursing staff, and theatre staff and of course from the Surgeon concerned.

It is now just over 4 weeks since having had the cancer removed and you can hardly notice any difference at all in my face.

I am told that within 12 weeks you won't even notice a witness of it.

I am absolutely delighted with all the care and attention I received at Princess Alexandra Hospital and in particular the Maxiofacial clinic.
