I am 71, I went to A & E last night after tripping over in the road.
I had cuts to my left hand, my face, jaw, knees and hands were cut and bruised.
A tooth had also fallen out.
All of the staff were helpful efficient and friendly.
There was a very full waiting room but I was seen very quickly for triage and within a very short time I was called in to have my hand stitched.
It needed 12 stitches, the doctor was calm he explained what he was doing and his stitching was painless.
I was then sent for a specialist OPG
X-ray and was relieved to find I had not fractured my jaw.
I was then given a tetanus injection and was ready to go home.
Everything was done and I was on my way home in under two hours.
Thank goodness for the NHS.
"Brilliant service from the A & E staff"
