About: George Eliot Hospital - Acute Services

What I liked

The midwives, obstetricians, theatre staff, doctors and peadeatrician that my husband and I encountered here were all professional yet friendly and, most importantly, they made me feel as though I was a person and not just a statistic (I had 2 children at another hospital and that is how i was made to feel previously). I felt safe and secure under their care and even though I was a 'high risk' patient I felt all of my wishes were respected and acted upon to the best of their abilities. With the help and support of the midwives and doctors etc in delivery, I successfully achieved a VBA2C which turned out to be the most amazing experience of my life so far; and for that I will be forever grateful to these dedicated and lovely people. Up on Drayton ward, the midwives and everyone els I came across were also great; even though they were sometimes short on staff, and I felt that if I needed anything I could always approach anybody on duty. ( Unfortunately, the previous hospital I visited didn't make me feel this way).

What could be improved

Staffing levels only.
