"Care within the Accident and Emergency and..."

About: Pinderfields General Hospital

My mother was admitted to hospital on the 6th August 2018. My mother was treated in the Resuscitation section of the Casualty due to her health problems. The Nursing and Medical staff worked very hard to stabilise her condition. My mother was transferred to Critical Care Unit following her surgery. Sadly my mother died on the 8th August 2018.

I wish to thank all the members of the hospital who came into contact with my mother and congratulate them on the compassionate and professional care given to her. Mum was treated with utmost respect and dignity throughout her stay.

I have received a beautiful card from the Critical Care Unit and invites to a bereavement group for me and my siblings should we wish to attend.

I work within the NHS and the care that she received made me very proud despite the sad ending. Many thanks to you all, especially the member of staff who tried so hard to keep my mother alive.

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments and I would like to offer you and your family my sincere condolences on your sad loss.

I cannot begin to imagine how difficult the time must of been for you all.

I will pass on your lovely words to the teams involved as they will be really pleased to know that you felt that the care they provided was compassionate given the sad circumstances.

Thank you again.

Kind regards

Clare Blackburn
