Dear Lentil

Thank-you for taking the time to feedback to us on your experience in the Out Patients Department and I am sorry that you had a poor experience.

I have passed your comment in relation to the department being dirty to my Infection Prevention and Control team and we will investigate this as a matter of urgency. I will also pass you other comments to my colleagues in University Hospital Hairmyres.

Should you wish to discuss your concerns with me directly please contact 01698 366309 otherwise I will post an update on this page when our investigation is completed.

Kind Regards

Emer

Dear Lentil,

I'm sorry you had such a negative experience during your visit to Hairmyres. As my colleague Emer had indicated, the Infection Prevention and Control Team visited the outpatients department this morning and could find no areas of concerns. This inspection was carried out in the morning before the department was filled with patients and I do appreciate that things may have been appeared different to you given you apparently visited the department at a very busy time.

I do apologise that things appeared so loud and crowded when you visited. Unfortunately due to the volume of patients attending clinics and the space available to us we are very aware that the experience can often fall short of what we would wish.

If you wish to contact out Patient Affairs department on 01355 585325 and pass on your details, I would be happy to investigate in more detail the points you raise in your feedback.

Kind Regards,

Cameron
