"Amazing Staff"

About: Princess Alexandra Eye Pavillion

(as a service user),

My right eye had been sore for a few days, and after seeing my optician I was sent to royal Alexandra eye pavilion Edinburgh for further tests. Having never had any issues with my eyes in the past I was extremely anxious and upset. The nurse practitioner that saw me that day was wonderful (I can't remember her name). Once she confirmed that it was in fact a piece of rust that had embedded itself in my eye, she relaxed me as she prepared to remove it, I didn't see how it was going to be removed and she removed it quickly and at no discomfort to me. She was fabulous and is a total credit to the NHS.

Dear thubannb49

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your lovely feedback with us following your recent visit to the Princess Alexandra Eye Pavilion. I can only imagine how anxious you must have been and I was really pleased to read how the nurse practitioner was able to prepare you so that the piece of rust could be removed quickly and with no discomfort.

I have shared your kind words with the senior management team and I am sure they will be delighted to read of your experiences.

I do hope your eye is getting better and thank you again for taking the time to share your experiences with us.

Kind regards

Jeannette
