"Care in the emergency department"

I was referred by my GP  following a fall down the stairs at home. Having been treated for broken clavicle at Ards hospital at the time of the fall in the day previous i was feeling pains in the chest. At the UK i was seen by Hannah who ordered various tests x-ray and scans finding no problems other than severe bruising for which she arranged physiotherapy. 

The following morning she phoned and invited my back as she had been thinking overnight that there must be more to find. I didn't realise it was her day off and she had come into work especially to arrange for a colleague to look at me. This i believe to be beyond the call of duty. I was seen by Ian who started from scratch reviewing the events,ordered more scans/ xrays and thought the severe chest pain might be cardio related requiring a possible overnight stay subject to a cardio doctors opinion. I eventually ( at midnight obtained this opinion that a run fracture was the cause and discharged. I consider the attitude of all staff involved to have been exceptional and although by the time it was completed i did not think much of the cardiologist opinion because all i wanted by then was a bed, it has since proved to be correct and has relieved me of worry. I should point out that I am a previous heart patient with material foundation and take constant blood and anti epileptic medication.
