"Unprofessional and dispassionate GP's"

I suffered from acne and severe eczema, despite several requests to see a dermatologist I was told I couldn't have one. Over the course of 5 years my skin was wrecked by steriod creams, it was a constant battle. At one point I had cystic acne all over my face and scaly skin from the eczema.

The GP at the surgery who specialises in dermatology recommend several creams one which resulted in a severe allergic reaction. I was never told to patch test. I am lucky enough to have private health care and through that went to see a dermatologist, turns out the steroid creams the GPs were giving was causing my acne. After a course of medication to clear my acne and Elidel for my eczema my skin has completely cleared. The dermatologist did what the GPs could not do for 5 years in one appointment. I wish I had taken out private healthcare earlier. The GPs at the surgery have no idea what they are doing, the service is incredibly poor. I have had similar experiences with poor and ineffective treatment for problems with my hip.

I would strongly recommend against using this GP, they do not treat a problem and are not knowledgeable enough to treat the problem. Save your health and go some where else, do not go through the hell I went through for 5 years.
