What I liked
The Nursing care was good, and at the time during 2010 I was under the care of a Renal Team at NGH. The Consultant was helpful and I was really pleased with the care.
This all changed during a admission Feb 2010-March 2010, I was moved to a ward not Renal, and remained under the care of a different consultant throughout those weeks. He wasnt a Renal Speicalist and after different tests, he offered me to go home, I accepted his offer, and went home a few days later. He changed his mind and removed all my blood pressure medication prescribed by the Renal Team. He was frustrated, rude, and his manner was unprofessional.
He continued to call my GP's Surgery to notify withdrawal of medications. He also sent letters to different Trust that included misleading inaccurate medication information. Contraindicated his colleagues who already diagnosed Renal problems months before his opinion. I would like to not he was not a Renal Specialist.
His decision to withdraw blood pressure medication caused me to fall ill, and I spent hours in Resus, when Doctors prescribed all the medications he withdrawn.
He sent many letters to different Consultant of whom I was not under their care. His behavior has been considered as unprofessional, by medical professionals.
What could be improved
A Renal Consultant should of come to the ward.
Consultant was unprofessional and should not be aloud to distribute inaccurate medical information.
Consider the patient has no mental health illnesses. Instead of sending inaccurate medical information.
