"Better communication with relatives"

The staff are excellent. But there is Lack of information as to what is happening to with the patient.

Their progress, Their daily well being, not a long drawn out chat as

I know how busy they are, just at general chat on how they have been, and is the medication helping, are they eating and drinking, what happens if they are not, did they have a good night?

I am not constantly on the phone, only once a week, I visited as well, it would help to know overhaul how he has been generally.

Other than that Pyrland 2, is a safe place for him to be, the staff are very friendly.

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave this feedback.

I'm glad that you have found the staff to be excellent but sorry that communication has not been very good. We have been discussing your feedback this morning and looking at ways that we can improve how we communicate with families and carers on Pyrland Ward 2.

We will be reviewing the training for staff on the ward and trying to improve the number of staff who are trained in the "Triangle of Care". This is the method that we are committed to using, to remember that patient care is not just about staff and patients, but that there is a third 'point' to the Triangle that we need to include: the family and loved ones of the patient.

Thank you for leaving this feedback and we will make sure that we look at how we involve the families of our patients on Pyrland Ward 2 and how we can improve the way we communicate to keep people up to date and informed.
