I had developed a swelling in the groin (19th June 2018) and contacted the surgery by telephone,
An appointment was arranged for the same day. The doctor, very sympathetic, thought a further investigation was required under the two week system.
An appointment was made at the oncology department at Royal Free where an ultrasound scan and biopsy was arranged.(5th July)
17th July the oncologist at Royal Free gave the diagnosis as High grade Lymphoma.
25th July, PET scan.
2nd August, results of PET scan.
5th August, Ultrasound scan of heart.
7th of august start of chemotherapy for 18 weeks.
As part of the treatment 5 daily injections had to be given which was done at PHGH Doctors very expertly.
At all times during this period the NHS staff that I encountered were very friendly and professional. I definitely got the feeling of being looked after.
"Recent Lymphoma diagnosis."
