"would not fix prosthetic arm"

About: Disablement Services Centre

My son lost an arm 20 years ago in a road accident . He has worked hard and not tried to get benefits he is independant and only wants to work. The only thing that he needs is a working prosthetic arm . He has had to threaten to go to his MP before the limb clinic finally agreed to repair it .But he will have to wait a month for the parts to arrive by post . What is he to live on till then . Could they dig an hole in the road with one arm like he will have to . How would they pay bills whilst waiting for a repair.

I am very sorry to hear about the difficulty that your son has had in having his prosthetic arm repaired. I have spoken to the manager of the service to find out more about the situation and please be assured that he is doing his best to resolve this complicated situation as quickly and safely as possible for your son.

However, if your son would like to make a formal complaint he can do so via our customer services team customerservicespch@nhs.net

Once again, I do apologise for the distress and inconvenience caused.
