Attend monthly for eye injections for broken bloodvessel. The Consultants and registrars are brilliant, cannot fault them but their back up staff leave a lot to be desired. Last visit at least fifteen patients built up in the waiting room while they sent for a cleaner to clean the treatment room. It took over an hour.
At no time were any of the patients informed of what was happening - the staff simply disappeared to have coffee and no apology was offered when we were called in.
This treatment is painful and traumatic, even though I keep being told it won't hurt - it does - a lot! But no one listens. I have been known to go and have a good cry afterwards because it was so horrible. I am so stressed in the days leading up to it, I feel maybe I could cope with losing the sight in that eye better than having this awful treatment.
