"Long wait at Hampshire Healthcare Walk In Centre"

About: Hampshire PCT

(as the patient),

I visited the local NHS drop in centre after having a bad ankle for a few days. I sat patiently in the waiting room, waiting my turn. I watched as everyone else went in and then watched as in order of them arriving people started to go in who had arrived after me. I had assumed this was like previous centres where the more urgent cases had priority, but when the girl who was also hobbling on her ankle went in before me I realised something was up.

So I went to the desk and asked when I was likely to be seen. Only to be met by a confused look from the receptionist whom couldn't find my paperwork. I had the feeling like I wasn't added to the waiting list as I should have been.

I might be totally mistaken by this, but that's the impression I got.

However the story does end on a good note because the doctor I eventually saw was kind and attentive.
