"Room for improvement."

About: Warrington Hospital

What could be improved

Lights turned off earlier . They are left on until after midnight making it difficult to sleep.

More assistance needed with elderly patients who ring for help and are often left to wait for someone to accompany them to the toilet.

Night staff could lower their voices and try to be a little more quiet!

Nurses are stretched and have so much work to get through that they seldom finish their shifts on time.

Anything else?

I had a lot of post op pain during the night which could not be treated until the acute pain nurse came on duty at 9.00 am. The emergency anaesthetist told me in the night that the power of positive thought would help!

Thank you for taking the time to leave comments. We will pass these on to the matron on the urology ward to look at the issues you have raised. We will also look at the nightime light and noise levels and what we can do to change this.
