"Making a stressful situation easier"

About: WestMARC (Forth Valley) / Adult Wheelchair Clinic

(as a service user),

Having been a lower limb amputee for 10 years I am very dependent on my wheelchair.   the relationship between the chair and the user is hard to explain and it can be stressful when the chair develops faults and needs to be serviced. for the 7-8 years my chair has been maintained by Alan, this level of continuity in care from a single person helps to lessen the stress, particularly as Alan takes such an interest in me as a person, asking after my family and what we are all up to. I have moved house 3 times in the last 7 years, it's great that Alan has continued to be there for me. And my chair.
