"Not recommended"

About: Cheetham Hill Primary Care Centre

The positives are that if you phone at 8am you can usually get an appointment that day.

Some of reception staff are kind.

There is a briiliant nurse consultant and a good doctor.

The waiting area is roomy and pleasant.

The negatives are that I have found most gp's to be unfriendly and uncaring in their manner.

I have severe allergies and to try to save money one GP kept sending me eye drops with preservative because they are cheaper.

Overall I have found there us little empathy and understanding of mental health issues or of long term m.e. / fibromyalgia so have been left with no support for that.

The GP's seem to have little awareness of looking at the person in a holistic way.

So I would not recommend this practice.

Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience at the practice. It is great to read that you have so many positive things to say about our staff both clinical and non clinical.

The practice regularly engages with the Medicines Optimisation team at Manchester Health and Care Commissioning (MHCC - the organisation responsible for the commissioning of health services including General Practice) on a regular basis. We work well with the organisation, and when there has been clinical guidance recommending more suitable prescribing, we support MHCC in this work for the best for our patients.

As you have chosen to post this comment anonymously, unfortunately I can not respond and investigate fully into your comments surrounding your experiences specifically regarding your personal health conditions. If you feel compelled to further this, please contact Stacey Simpson, Assistant Practice Manager at the practice, so we can begin to understand how your perception of the GP's awareness may have come to be.

We are always looking for patients to help the practice as part of our Patient Participation Group. Please ask Stacey when the next meeting is and she can assist you in becoming involved.

Kind regards

Mike Neville

Acting Business Manager
