"Inappropriate poster?"

About: Blackpool Victoria Hospital / Accident and emergency

My wife wasadmitted to BVH through A&E a few days ago. We were treated with the respect and sympathy we have almost always received.

Just one thing made us think; on the wall of the corridor facing directly into Cubicle 9 is a large poster advising patients on their choices for end-of-life treatment. I have mentioned this to friends and colleagues and the general opinion is that this this could be disturbing to people awaiting treatment and their relatives. Are we being oversensitive?

Good afternoon,

Thank you for taking the time to share with me your experience in A&E with your wife. I am pleased to read that you were both treated with respect and sympathy.

I will discuss with Lorraine Tymon our End of Life Facilitator your question as she led on the campaign.

Kindest Regards

Leanne
