"Excellent care"

About: Queen Elizabeth I I Hospital / Accident and emergency

Visited on Sunday morning with my husband who suddenly and unexpectedly had a pulse rate of 160.

We were triaged immediately and taken through for an ECG within a few minutes of arriving.

The nurses were absolutely lovely, very calming and efficient during this scary episode.

Within another few minutes they had arranged a blue light ambulance to Lister and we were on our way very quickly.

They even allowed us to leave our car in their carpark until such time as we were able to collect it several days later, on his discharge from Lister.

Their care and kindness made our frightening experience much more bearable and I am extremely grateful to the staff on the day, both the main Receptionist and also the triage nurse couldn't have been more friendly and helpful.

We are so lucky to have this wonderful unit available to us.

Thanks for the feedback Liz, which we will share with our emergency medicine colleagues. Do hope that your husband is feeling a lot better now.
