"Poor service"

About: Dinas Lane Medical Centre

Registered with Dinas for 7yrs and never any problems, however since giving birth 8 weeks ago I have had no end of problems. Diagnosed with preeclampsia has brought a number of ailments, along with general post pregnancy problems. Two weeks after birth i had to see doctor for both myself and the baby didn't appear to be feeding well. I ran through problems with doctor and was told to prioritise my symptoms as she only had 7 mins to deal with me, also advised another appt would need to be made for baby as there wasn't enough time to assist. In total I made 3 appt to have baby checked for reflux, one of these being sent to whiston because they couldn't get us in. All 3 doctors said they didn't want to treat for reflux incase it wasn't. Health visitor recommended going to alder hey where my baby is now being cared for and treated. On all occasions in dinas I was asked if i was a first time mum, which I am, and took these comments personal. Another occasion I was asked to get bloods done, I arrived 6mins late, genuine error as I thought they were still open for bloods. Was told to go nutgrove villa. My post natal appt was booked for 10.50am, I got into doc at 11.55. Dr did apologise and said she'd had an emergency that morning which set her back. Why couldn't reception staff relay this to me? I tried to book baby's 8 wk needles and was told on 2 occasions I needed to wait for a letter. When baby was 7 weeks I went in and asked reception could I make an appt as still no letter. They told me to attend drop in clinic Tues at 1330 but make sure I arrive early. Arrived at 1320 to be told the nurse would only see 4 babies and these had already arrived so I would need to come back following week, again, why wasn't I told this? They managed to squeeze baby in for 4pm appt that day. Why couldn't this have been done 2 weeks earlier as requested. When I seen nurse she said reception should've called her at 1320 to see if she could squeeze us in. I asked to speak to manager but was told she was in a mtg. Following day i had to pick up a prescription, waited 10mins before being addressed as only one receptionist to then be told it had been sent electronically to chemist. Went to chemist to collect and they'd written prescription out for wrong thing. As I required urgently I went back over and they admitted it was their error and another prescription would be done. I asked to speak to manager as she still hadn't called from day before and was told she was on the phone. I'm Still waiting for her to ring me now, nearly 48hrs later. I also put in a 4 page complaint letter 2 weeks ago, which has been acknowledged and being investigated.
